How to get there
Fly into Kigali International Airport (KGL) through Doha (Qatar Airways), Amsterdam (KLM), Brussels (Brussels Airlines), Istanbul (Turkish Airlines), or Addis Ababa (Ethiopian Airlines) - each offering a nonstop final leg into Kigali. When to visit
June - September and December - February (Rwanda's dry seasons) offer optimal trekking conditions, with drier trails and clearer volcano views. Gorilla permits are strictly limited to eight visitors per family per day - booking 6 - 12 months in advance is essential, particularly for June - September and the December holiday period.
