Madagascar

Why visit?

Why visit Madagascar?

Madagascar is unlike anywhere else on Earth.
A remote island shaped by millions of years of isolation, it offers a world of rare and remarkable encounters. From the otherworldly gaze of lemurs and ancient baobabs to the dramatic stone forests of the Tsingy and secluded shores fringed by turquoise waters.

Madagascar is less about ticking off sights and more about discovering a world that feels entirely your own; extraordinary landscapes, remarkable wildlife and intimate experiences found nowhere else.

Unique

What makes Madagascar unique

  • A world apart, where nature feels almost dreamlike.
  • In the rainforests of Andasibe-Mantadia, the haunting call of the indri carries through ancient orchid forests, while night falls reveal a secret world of nocturnal creatures. Stay in intimate conservation lodges, where the forest begins just beyond your door.
  • At Morondava, ancient baobabs rise like sculpted sentinels from the earth, their silhouettes glowing against an endless African sunset. Here, the landscape itself becomes the experience.
  • Then venture into the Tsingy de Bemaraha, a surreal labyrinth of limestone pinnacles, hanging bridges and hidden passages, where lemurs move through a landscape that seems almost otherworldly.
  • And beyond the mainland, Nosy Be and the Mitsio Archipelago unfold into a private island world of volcanic shores, coral gardens and clear turquoise seas. Follow the scent of vanilla and ylang-ylang inland, or venture offshore in search of whale sharks between September and December.
